Pixies

The Pixies are an underground American rock band that formed in 1986. They disbanded in 1993, but reformed for a series of sell out gigs in 2004. The band has had an unchanged line up of Black Francis, Joey Santiago, Kim Deal, and David Lovering. Whilst the Pixies never achieved huge success in the States, they have a dedicated fan base in the UK and Europe, and their standing has grown over the years. Kurt Cobain of Nirvana was a big Pixies fan, and has acknowledged their influence on his music many times.
