Eagle Rock Mourns Claude Nobs
Eagle Rock Entertainment mourns the loss of their friend and colleague, Montreux Jazz Festival founder and general manager Claude Nobs.
“Geoff [Kempin], myself and everyone at Eagle Rock Entertainment are deeply saddened by the news. We have always loved being part of the Montreux family and pay tribute to Claude’s incredible spirit and passion for music and his love of the artists performing at Montreux. We shall miss him dearly,” states Terry Shand, Eagle Rock Entertainment Chairman and CEO.
“We in North America will miss Claude. When we think of great music, we think of him,” states Mike Carden, President Of Operations North America. “We shared a wonderful family relationship with Claude. He was so open, and accessible to every member of the staff who worked with him on the wonderful projects he brought to us. He will be deeply missed.”
Claude Nobs passed away Thursday, January 10 after sustaining injuries from a cross-country skiing accident on Christmas Eve, at the age of 76.
