Nina Simone, one of the truly great female vocalists of the 20th Century, made four appearances at the Montreux Festival between 1968 and 1990. This CD features the whole of her performance from 1976 as the main item, with two bonus tracks from her concert in 1987 to make an outstanding live album. Always provocative and steering close to the edge, Nina Simone was often at her best in a live environment and this CD captures her in fine form.
